Sovereign Grace

About

  • Our Vision

    Our Vision

Why are we here? What are we here to do? We believe that all of us were created by God to worship him and enjoy him in relationship. Our vision is to be a church where anyone, regardless of where they are in faith and life, come and meet Jesus and to hear his gospel message. We believe that the way we worship and enjoy God is to do ministry along three dimensions and directions.

Looking up to see God. Looking at Jesus. Looking out to see the church and city that needs to be served. We believe this is what it means to be a Christian and a follower of Christ…to love God and neighbor. Our calling is to help people by meeting them where they are at, and helping them discover their calling…to worship God and enjoy him forever.

  • Youth Ministry

    Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry includes students from 6-12th grade, who join our adult services on Sundays. There is a separate youth gathering for fellowship and teaching on another day. For more information please email Michele Choi at children@sovereigngracela.com

  • College Ministry

    College Ministry

When we started Sovereign Grace we wanted to be near major universities because of their importance in shaping our society and culture. We wanted to come alongside college students and equipment them with the gospel and to provide seekers a place to investigate and search. On Friday nights our students gather to process and apply the gospel in everyday life.

If you are a college student interested in connecting with other students in the city or college graduate interesting in working with students please contact Eric Noh at enoh@sovereigngracela.com

  • Community Groups

    Community Groups

Community Groups are smaller gatherings of people who want to build friendship through learning and applying the gospel into their lives. Each group is composed of eight to twelve people who meet in homes for dinner, discussion/study, and prayer. Our community groups also participate in serving the church, serving the city and various social events that come up in the life of Sovereign Grace.

This ministry is established on the biblical teaching that we were created for community. We need others to grow in our relationship to God. We need others to help us better understand and apply the gospel.

If you are interested in joining a community group, if you would like more information, or if you would like to start your own community group, please email Pastor Phil Chew at phil@sovereigngracela.com

  • Interest Groups

    Interest Groups

Connecting with others in large city can be challenging. Interest Groups at Sovereign Grace are activity-based gatherings that help you connect with others in our community. Some interest groups meet weekly, some monthly, and some two or three times a year. If you are interested in finding out more about available interest groups, check our NEWS section below for more information.

If you are interested in starting your own interest group, please contact Pastor Phil Chew at phil@sovereigngracela.com
